Electricity bills are one of the most expensive constants for the average person. If you’re looking to save on these costs, here are a few easy tips for you:

  1. Disconnect when not in use: Leaving the microwave or other small appliances around the house connected when not use is not exactly a great idea. To save energy, switch them off or better yet, unplug them.

2. Use a fan: Air conditioners require a lot of energy to function properly. A great alternative is to make use of an electric fan which requires less power. If you do not have constant power supply, opt for a rechargeable fan.

3. Turn off the lights: Light bulbs do not necessarily consume a lot of energy but the cost will add up over time. Turn off light bulbs in all unoccupied rooms and in the day time to save cost.

4. Take cold showers: Your heater might only stay on for about an hour a day but it still consumes a lot of energy. Switch to cold showers and only use the heater when necessary.
