There are a lot of things to say about the just-concluded investors’ party organized by Kobopay, not just from us but from the guests we had in attendance.
On Saturday, June 4th, 2022, Kobopay, in collaboration with GetEquity, hosted the first-of-its-kind Luxe Prive event at Bayroot Bar and Lounge, Landmark Towers, Oniru. Cocktails, finger food, games, dance, music, and fireside chats with lifestyle experts, influencers, tech innovators, and investors were among the highlights of the night.
The purpose of the event was to raise $20k from angel investors through GetEquity for Kobopay’s pre-seed round from guests willing to invest $200 or more.
Eke Urum, the CEO, and co-founder of Risevest, Temitope Ekundayo, and Jude Dike, co-founders of GetEquity, were among those who attended the event, which began at 7 p.m. Mr. Temitope Ekundayo, co-founder and director of growth at GetEquity, discussed the company’s services and how anyone may invest in any startup they like. Leslie Emenalo, our co-founder, spoke about Kobopay and how we are empowering Africans by enabling them to send, receive, and manage payments in whichever currency they desire. He also explained how anyone can become a Kobopay investor.
We were able to reach 35% of our goal at the end of the event, from investors who invested $200 and above.
